

Gary Hartley joined Trinity Works in 2010 to work on development of The Summit: Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia. Mr. Hartley's responsibilities include serving as the project's resource manager as well as representing the Boy Scouts of America High Adventure Camp and National Jamboree project in the surrounding communities.
Prior to working for Trinity Works, Mr. Hartley served as the Chief Ranger for the New River Gorge National River and Gauley River National Recreation Area. With over 30 years experience as a National Park Ranger, Mr. Hartley has supervised visitor use, law enforcement, and search and rescue operations in numerous National Park units spanning from New England to the American Southwest. He has extensive experience managing large special events, including management of the celebrated Bridge Day event in West Virginia that draws over 100,000 spectators.
In addition, Mr. Hartley has represented the United States on several international projects that concerned the development of new protected areas in foreign countries, including serving on a detail to the World Bank, where he consulted with the Chinese government on development of new park areas in the poorest province of China. Recently, Mr. Hartley served on a team formed to assist the Jordanian government in developing their first National Park, which was established to manage and protect the renowned Petra Archeological site. Mr. Hartley is an Eagle Scout, a graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Park and Recreation Management from Slippery Rock University.
