(2000-2002) The Port of Salalah is the 17th busiest port in the world and one of five gateway ports on the equatorial container route. 

Salalah acts as the gateway to the markets of east India, the Middle East and Persian Gulf, and West Africa.  The project included all planning, development, financial structuring and entitlement for the Free Zone, as well as the negotiation of a 30-year concession agreement on 6,000 acres of land and $400 million of infrastructure for the Free Zone around the Port of Salalah.
