(2000) What began solely as redevelopment of the existing airport of Turku in order to accomodate an industrial airport transitioned into a complete logistics program including not only the airport but an expanded container port with rail access to Russia and a mixed-use village and corporate campus. 

The project consisted of economic development targeting, planning, and financial feasibility.
