Aqaba Special Economic Zone

Working in partnership with the Government of Jordan, re-planned and scaled the development opportunities and legislation for the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZA).  ASEZA includes the creation of a principality around the port town of Aqaba.  The project included the redevelopment of the existing port, residential villages, resort development, industrial development around the international airport and the beginning of the Red-Dead Canal.  The Red-Dead is a water works project that takes salt water from the Red Sea and pumps it up the Wadi Ariba to the Dead Sea.  Along its length, it serves as a solar still for fresh water and as hydro-electric power as it drops into the Dead Sea.
